Suppose You Do Change Your Life?*

Whatever is in your power to do, do with all your might.
For there is no action, no reasoning, no learning, no wisdom
in Sheol where you are going.
Ecclesiastes 9:10

Your new way may be uncertain,
lined with mysteries
and urgent distractions.

Some of your old companions
may not change with you.
Some will try to subvert your intentions.

You may be overcome with the realization
there may not be a worse or better way,
only the one you have chosen.

Make of it what you will,
as long as you are the same you,
it will be like your old way,

no more wisdom,
no fewer confusions.
Time will go on and on just like before.

No one remembers dying.
